Candace Koch

Candace brings 13 years of community leadership, advocacy, volunteer service and practical business experience to the table. She has put in the work and understands how municipal government operates.

For years, she has attended Council and Budget meetings, public hearings and community meetings, gaining a strong understanding of municipal processes, policies and the responsibilities of local government. She listens, asks difficult questions, raises important issues and believes actions matter more than words.

Her community leadership includes serving as Chair, Secretary and Board Director of the Steelhead Community Association, as well as serving on the City of Mission Traffic and Transit Committee and the Mission School District Trades Training Advisory Committee.

A Red Seal Automotive Technician with small business experience, Candace brings a practical approach to problem-solving and responsible decision-making. Her advocacy has helped deliver results, including the $1 million TELUS high-speed internet project for Steelhead, improved rural cell service and road safety initiatives.

Her volunteer work has ranged from Mission schools and PAC groups to Dyslexia BC and the Steelhead Community Association. In 2025, she was honoured with a Mission Women’s Pathfinder Award for her community contributions.

Candace has called Mission home for 14 years with her husband and is a proud mom of two wonderful young adults. She understands the pressures families face and the importance of making every tax dollar count.

She is running to help restore confidence in City Hall and keep the focus on what matters to residents.

“Mission has tremendous potential. Our community deserves to feel proud of where we live and confident about where we’re going. I want to help create a community where people can build a future, businesses can thrive, families have opportunities, and people feel that their City Hall is working for them.”
